Worship Service Times

10:00 AM & 5:00 PM Sunday

At Calvin Church we seek to honor and praise God through worship services which are in keeping with the Reformed heritage. Services are designed to convey a unified focus, typically built around the Scripture reading on which the pastor preaches. The selection of hymns, songs, choir anthems, and organ music all combine to create an atmosphere of joyful reflection on the presence of God and on what God's Word teaches. The church's three core vocal choirs and three handbell choirs provide meaningful selections of praise even as the congregation's singing is accompanied by Calvin's magnificent pipe organ. In the 10:00 AM morning service, just before the children go to their Worship Center classes, a brief message just for them is usually presented. For the 5:00 PM vesper service, we meet in the Fellowship Hall which offers a greater sense of community. Additionally, once a quarter we enjoy a combined potluck dinner and worship service for our 5:00 PM worship time. In and through it all the desire to "Give God Alone the Glory" is what drives every service.
SEVERE WEATHER POLICY
Calvin CRC meetings, activities, and worship services will be automatically
cancelled if any of the following weather advisories are still in effect
for Kent County within one hour of scheduled events:
Tornado Watch, Tornado Warning, or Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

If a Tornado Watch or severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued after a
worship service or meeting has begun, the service or meeting will continue.
If a Tornado Warning sounds during worship services or meetings, the congregation
will immediately take shelter in the basement until the warning clears.
