Welcome to the Calvin Christian Reformed Church homepage! Whether you are a Calvin
Church member exploring this website or someone who is looking for information on local
churches, we hope you will find Calvin's niche on the web to be useful and interesting.
Through the various menus on this site you will be able to see the faces of some of the
people who work at Calvin Church and have the opportunity, if you wish, to read something
about Calvin's history, review its current programs, and even sample a sermon by our preaching
pastor.
But really to know Calvin Church means getting to know its people, and that is not
something any website could provide. So we hope perhaps you will visit our church some
week! At its two weekly worship services on Sunday and also in its many, many programs
throughout the week the people of Calvin Church try to live out the love of Christ in how they
treat one another and in how they welcome and enfold visitors and guests.
For instance, a couple of years ago when the church began an ambitious new venture to
house homeless families in the church for one entire week every few months, the church leaders
wondered how this would go. Blessedly enough it went wonderfully and continues to do so! No
sooner was the program announced and volunteers started to step forward. Over 150 people
have now worked in this program, each host week requiring up to 80 volunteers. Yet the people
of Calvin Church have taken on this challenge, and many others like it, gladly and with joy!
So if you are using this website to learn more about Calvin Church for the first time, we
hope and pray you will also take the next step of visiting us. We would love to see you!
Meanwhile, we hope this website, designed by another Calvin Church volunteer, will prove
helpful and in its own way be a blessing.
